Macfarlane & Muir provide a range of accountancy and payroll services. These services can be linked or they can be used as stand alone activities.

• Full Accounts preparation Service.

We will collect from your premises all your accounting paperwork. The collection schedule will be tailored to your requirements. Once processed the documentation will be return to you. Inclusive are Supplier and bank reconciliations, preparation and / or submission of Vat Returns. For the Construction Industry Scheme we can prepare the requirements for your subcontractors and HM Revenue & Customs.

• Preparation of year end Accounts.

For sole traders, partnerships and/or limited companies and includes business taxation. If you already have an accountant, we can submit to that accountant a year end file which would include a Trial Balance and all supporting schedules.

• Payroll Services.

Tailored to meet your payroll cycle, this includes all pay envelopes, the processing of SSP, Maternity Pay, Pension contributions etc., the monthly PAYE / NIC return, the annual P35 return, P60s for employees, and where appropriate P11Ds and the Class 1A NIC return. Gross salaries and Employers costs reports are available.

• Credit Management Services.

We will establish with you a Credit Policy. Once established using personal contact by telephone, email, and / or letter we will collect from your Customers all outstanding monies.

• Business Plans / Cash Forecasting / Ad hoc exercises / Preparation of monthly and / or quarterly management accounts.

In addition an Interim Management service is available. This is carried out by Stuart Muir ACMA who has 35 years experience as a Senior Finance Executive in a range of manufacturing and services industries. Stuart acts as an executive and non-executive director with a number of organizations. Typically interim assignments are undertaken on a part-time basis, supporting your organization through planned or unplanned change.
